Tilton Market: Where Everybody Knows Your Name

It’s not in Boston nor a bar, but in Northfield, NJ, there is one establishment where many of its customers frequent it regularly and everybody who works there knows their names. It’s that super friendly atmosphere and its high-quality foods that have become the signature features of the Tilton Market.

This family-like atmosphere is no accident. Members of the Senese family have collaborated toward customer service and the corresponding success of this business for decades. Those family members who have worked in the business have developed an affinity for the residents of Northfield and surrounding communities, essentially considering many of them to be akin to an extended part of their family.

Alisa (Senese) Kember is the market’s current owner. She and her now-retired brothers, Robert and Michael Senese, succeeded their father Richard Senese in running the business. Because of the Company’s long history in the community, it’s not unusual for the customers of Tilton Market to be multi-generational families. This is one of Alisa’s favorite aspects of owning the business. She and her team are often involved in providing food for some of the most special moments in the lives of customers, whether it be a holiday meal or a championship celebration, where she can often recount a similar service and event for a family member of an earlier generation.

As the management of the Company has transitioned from the various Senese family members over the years, the accounting services and business advisory guidance of the team at Capaldi Reynolds & Pelosi, P.A. has proven to be a valuable Company resource. The team has not only brought expertise to every aspect of the company’s financial needs, but also consistently provides proactive insight that aids in making informed, strategic decisions. The firm has been responsive, trustworthy, and genuinely invested in the growth of the Company’s business, ensuring that the Company’s financial health is always prioritized. The peace of mind and confidence they provide have truly made a difference in the Company’s approach to their business goals.

Tilton Market’s product offerings include traditional deli fare, premium meats, fresh seafood and produce, a variety of groceries and delicious ready-to-eat prepared foods, cooked on premises. It’s quick and convenient enough to stop in to pick up a fast meal or enticing and varied enough to shop for the week’s fare. Whether it’ a special celebration or an ordinary day that takes everything you got, certainly taking a break and shopping at Tilton Market sure would help a lot. Cheers to Alisa and her team at Tilton Market!
