Client Spotlight – Collins Iron Works / Dennisville Fence

There are few multigenerational business owners that have experienced the success and growth as have the Collinses from Collins Iron Works / Dennisville Fence and that can also pride themselves on all three generations having served for our country.  After serving in World War II, Earle S. Collins II started the business in the early 1950s as a fabrication shop located in the Villas section of Lower Township, New Jersey.  In the 1960s the business gradually evolved into chain link fence and the fabrication of commercial gates.  Earle S. Collins, III who served with the Navy in Vietnam took the helm of the ship in 1980 and also purchased Dennisville Fence, which expanded the business to include fabrication and installation of cedar fencing and wood gates throughout South Jersey.  In the early 2000s Earle Collins III retired and the business is now run by his two sons, Earle S. Collins IV (US Navy Persian Gulf) and Erik E. Collins.  Earle and Erik expanded the business to include more maintenance-free products like vinyl and aluminum fencing and railings.

The company’s growth can be attributed to its dynamic team with a variety of skillsets that allow them to manage the business infrastructure processes and systems while staying current with building trends and techniques.  They have been able to introduce technology and processes to improve manufacturing by developing many patents in order to be able to bring the highest quality products to the market.  Also contributing to their growth are their many talented installation crews and a vibrant material-only sales business, which can deliver directly to homeowners or contractors all over South Jersey.  To handle this growth the Company has expanded from its original fabrication shop in Lower Township, NJ (still in use today) to include two other locations in Dennis Township, NJ and in the spring of 2022 they will open up a fourth location in Somers Point, NJ.  For more information about Dennisville Fence’s products and services, please visit online at dennisvillefence.com.

Since the 1980s CRP has provided valuable business, tax, financial and personal advice to all three generations and was instrumental in the successful generational transitions of the company.

“CRP has helped us not only with the tax compliance aspect of our business but has served as a trusted business advisor throughout the years.  They have worked closely with us to help achieve our business and personal financial goals.  We are very thankful for all the work that they provided back when my grandfather was running the business and are grateful for the continued work and advice.  We value our long-standing relationship.” – Per Earle S. Collins IV

Much has changed since Earle Collins II started the business back in the 1950’s but the ambition to manufacture, sell, deliver and install the highest quality fencing and railings with the utmost attention to detail remain firmly intact.
